Privacy and limitations

Your privacy at a glance

Tracker protection and local history

Senvail records website hostnames, types of observed activity, timestamps, and temporary browser tab identifiers to show reports and apply your site controls. These reports do not record page contents, full request addresses, passwords, cookie or storage contents, microphone recordings, camera images, location coordinates, or canvas image data.

Current-page reports are temporary. Local activity history is kept for up to seven days, with older records removed when the extension next runs if your browser was closed. Storage limits may remove records sooner. Site preferences and tracker rules remain until removed. Clear History removes the selected site's activity; uninstalling removes extension storage. Incognito activity is excluded from persistent history.

Website and link checks

Online checks are optional. When you allow them, the full address being checked is shared with Senvail and our security provider to look for known threats. This includes the address's path and query information, but not the part after a # symbol. An address can contain personal information, so only check addresses you are comfortable sharing. Page contents and your email are not sent to our security provider.

Manual website checks run when you request them. Link checks share only the links you select. Automatic scam protection is off by default; when you turn it on, Senvail checks addresses as you navigate websites. It excludes incognito pages. Permission for manual checks does not turn on automatic protection.

You can turn automatic protection off on the protection page, turn link sharing off in Check settings and privacy, or reset online-check permission in your account. Signing out stops automatic checks; signing back into the same account restores its saved setting on that device. Turning a setting off cannot recall information already sent.

Senvail uses your account to confirm access and limit requests. Our check service does not log submitted addresses or results. It temporarily keeps threat results until the provider's expiry time, using a protected identifier derived from the address. Recent addresses, warning details, and temporary exceptions also stay in browser session storage until their tab closes or the browser restarts.

Our security provider receives the submitted address and our server's connection information and handles that information under its own privacy practices. Hosting providers may receive ordinary connection information.

Message and page text checks

Pasted messages are checked on your device using English scam warning signs. Message text is not uploaded, sent to an AI service, or saved in a message history. If you select links within a message for an online check, those addresses are shared as described above. Do not paste passwords or verification codes.

When you choose Look for warning signs, Senvail checks a limited amount of the main page's readable text, its title and hostname, and visible link information on your device. It does not upload page text, open links, or submit forms. Forms, editable areas, hidden content, frames, images, and videos are excluded. Senvail also excludes incognito tabs and pages it recognizes as private, such as sign-in and account pages, although it cannot recognize every private page.

Temporary page text is discarded after analysis. Displayed page results clear when the website navigates, you sign out, or you close the checking screen. Pasted input clears when you clear it or leave the checker. Links opened through the right-click menu are held temporarily until loaded into the checker, closed, or expired shortly afterward. Senvail does not read your inbox, inspect attachments, or follow pasted links. Verifying Pro access may contact Senvail, without sending message or page text.

Accounts and payments

Our sign-in provider handles account sign-in, including your email address, verification codes or password, and normal connection information. Senvail keeps account and subscription identifiers, plan status, billing dates, and payment-event records needed to manage access. These account requests do not include tracker reports.

Stripe handles checkout and billing management. Payment information goes directly to Stripe; Senvail does not store full card details. Read Stripe's privacy policy for its practices.

Your browser stores sign-in credentials and recent plan status. Signing out clears them. Previously verified Pro access may work offline for up to 24 hours, without extending beyond the known billing period.

Account records are retained while your account is active. Contact support@senvail.com to request account deletion. Payment providers may retain transaction records for their legal obligations. Signing out or uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. Use Manage billing in your account to cancel. See billing information for details.

Sharing a result and getting help

Ask someone I trust creates an editable summary on your device. By default it leaves out original messages, page text, quoted evidence, email addresses, account details, and full website addresses. You can include base website domains and add your own text. Review everything before sharing.

Draft summaries are not saved or sent to Senvail. Closing the preview, changing the result, leaving the page, or signing out clears them. Copying places the summary on your clipboard, where it may remain or sync according to your device settings. Sharing passes the reviewed text to the app and recipient you choose; their privacy practices apply. Senvail cannot recall copied or shared text and does not read contacts or send messages automatically.

Recovery checklists work offline without an account. Your choices are not saved or sent to Senvail, and no report is filed automatically. Opening an outside resource takes you to that provider's website and its privacy practices apply.

Our website, updates, and support

The website uses no analytics or third-party fonts. Our hosting provider hosts our website and services and may receive normal connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs. Tracker-list updates do not include browsing activity or local tracker reports.

Email support@senvail.com for support or privacy questions. We use your email address and message to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or private browsing history.

Senvail uses browser data only for the features described here, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy's Limited Use requirements. We do not sell local activity records, send them to advertising services, or use them for credit decisions.

What Senvail can and cannot tell you

Tracker protection covers known domains, not every form of tracking. Activity reports describe what Senvail can observe, and legitimate websites may use the same browser features as trackers. The privacy score is not a scam-safety rating. Browser settings remain the place to manage camera, microphone, and location permissions.

Scam checks can miss threats or flag legitimate content. Some pages can only be checked partially. A result with no warning signs, an unchecked address, or a failed check does not prove safety. Automatic warnings may appear after a page starts loading. Keep your browser's built-in protection on.

Tracker list credits

Senvail uses an adapted subset of EasyPrivacy by The EasyList authors, under CC BY-SA 3.0. We select compatible domain rules, account for exceptions, and combine them with independently documented tracker domains. This is not the full EasyPrivacy list and does not imply endorsement.
